Strictly Come Dancing star Bobby Brazier admitted he struggled a bit after his time on the BBC dance competition came to an end last month.
The 20-year-old – who is the son of the late Jade Goody and Jeff Brazier – revealed he turned to ice cream after feeling ‘a bit lost’ after putting his all into the hit show.
Bobby ended up being runner-up alongside his partner Dianne Buswell, losing out to Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola.
The star shared: ‘I felt a little bit lost after the final, I was in no kind of routine at all. I was eating lots of ice cream at times that I shouldn’t have been, first thing in the morning.
‘I’d never watched Strictly – of course I knew what it was and stuff – but I’d never really imagined what it would be like after,’ he added to the Daily Mail.
Bobby also spoke about treating himself to a little winter break to help him through the post-Strictly blues.
He said: ‘But luckily I got out of the house and went to Mauritius last minute and spent Christmas there. There was a buffet and there was the sun and the sea. It was lovely.’
Despite Bobby hitting headlines throughout his time on Strictly, that doesn’t mean he gets an easy ride at home.
The model said his dad Jeff, 44, even raised his rent.
Bobby said of whether Jeff had been keeping his feet on the ground: ‘Whenever someone asks me that, I always say I still feel like I haven’t really even started. I feel like it hasn’t really started yet.
‘I’m pretty grounded anyway but he’s put my rent up again. He took the liberty, he went to the estate agents. He found out how much that room would cost, and he’s charging me that! That keeps me honest!’
Despite not winning the Glitterball Trophy, Bobby is still expected to get a lot of job offers following his time on Strictly.
The Sun reported last month that he was likely to be swamped with offers to be in West End shows, sign record deals and make ad appearances.
‘From the start of Strictly, Beeb bosses realised that they had a serious star on their hands – and the fact that he made it to the final was a complete bonus,’ a source said.
‘So, they’re incredibly keen to keep him with the Corporation, not least because Bobby is seen as a home-grown talent as he got his big TV break on EastEnders.’
