Every gone swimming with sharks?
That’s great, but it’s so last year – real dare devils get up close and personal with crocodiles.
There’s an attraction in Australia where visitors can go swimming with a terrifying 18-foot reptile.
Dubbed The Cage of Death (which is scary enough), the tourist trap features a 9ft cylinder glass box, that fits two people, and is lowered five metres into a salt-water tank.
To make the experience even more terrifying, this takes place during feeding time.
That’s right, you’re hanging out in a pool with a hungry croc that has a three-tonne bite force, meaning it could easily chomp off a limb if it wasn’t for the 4cm-thick glass wall between you.
But that doesn’t stop the animal from scratching the surface, with bite marks across the cage.
Not to worry, there are trainers on hand to ensure the animal doesn’t get too rowdy.
The theme park, known as Crocosaurus Cove, is located in Darwin, which has ‘the world’s largest display of Australian reptiles’, including the biggest saltwater crocodiles (which are considered the most dangerous and kill hundreds of people a year in the wild).
They are also the largest of the species, with males growing up to 19.6ft long and weighing up to 2,204 pounds (nearly one tonne).
Salties, as we’ve decided to nickname them, can be found in Southeast Asia, too.
‘Crocosaurus Cove’s Cage of Death experience is the only crocodile dive in Australia!
‘Guests are carefully lowered into the water alongside a 5m saltwater crocodile for 15 minutes, giving them the opportunity to take in his intimidating gaze, feel the sheer power of his three-tonne bite force, and learn to appreciate his true strength and resilience as a modern-day dinosaur.
‘This is the safest and most thrilling way to get up close to a saltwater crocodile here in the Territory!’
We might just stick to sharks for now.
