Dirty Bones shot to fame for its decadent, New York-inspired dishes – think burgers, fried chicken and mac and cheese.

But now, the diner-style restaurant is expanding it’s plant-based offering and going 100% plant-based at a couple of sites.

This January, they opened their first stand-alone vegan restaurant in Westfield White City’s food hall.

From today, 10 February, their flagship site in Soho will go completely plant-based every Monday.

So that means if you do meat-free Mondays as part of an effort to make your diet more eco-conscious, you can still get your fix of American comfort food at the beginning of the week.

And the new menu won’t scrimp on flavour. Just because it’s plant-based, that doesn’t mean it can’t still be warming, hearty and delicious.

The restaurant chain has given some of its signature dishes a vegan twist and will be offering favourites including the Yankee Dog, the Mac Daddy and the Classic burger.

New meat-free dishes include Crispy Fried Cauliflower Popcorn, Chick’n Nuggets, Hero burgers and the Chillie Cheese and BLT.

There will even be vegan soft-serve ice cream. Yum.

‘Dirty Bones has such a strong brand DNA, and it’s exciting to apply this to a new concept with Dirty Vegan,’ said co-founder and CEO Cokey Sulkin in a statement.

‘We have some very exciting plans in the coming year and Dirty Vegan at White City is the first step.

‘The emphasis for us is balance; we’re all learning we can’t eat meat and fish every day, our bodies and the planet need us to mix it up a bit.’

Dirty Bones – which started as a gourmet hot dog kiosk – now has four sites in London and one in Oxford.
