Nicole Eggert has shaved her head in a touching new video, months after revealing her breast cancer battle.
The 52-year-old, known for her role as Roberta Quinn in Baywatch, was diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer last December, after suffering ‘terrible pain’.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a timelapse clip set to Beastie Boys’ Fight For Your Right, as she took clippers to her hair.
At the end of the footage, the actress smiled while unveiling her newly-shaved head to fans, after getting help with some hard-to-reach spots.
Alongside the clip, she wrote: ‘Maybe healing involves not so much changing ourselves but allowing ourselves to be who we are – Madeleine Eames.’
Nicole was showered in support by a string of famous faces in the comments below, after revealing her new look.
Alyssa Milano replied: ‘Grace. You have the most grace. It’s inspiring and I appreciate you.’
Erika Eleniak agreed: ‘BAD. ASS. Yes, you are. And stunningly gorgeous with or without hair!!’
As Jillian Barberie added: BAD ASS WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!! Isn’t it freeing?????? You’ve got this. I’m so proud of your honesty, integrity and strength. That’s half the battle.’
Nicole went to get checked out a few months ago after suffering ‘terrible pain’ in her left breast.
After getting tested, she received a diagnosis of stage 2 breast cancer and went public with her diagnosis shortly after.
Her loved ones rallied around, with one friend swiftly setting up a GoFundMe fundraiser in a bid to help with costs.
Speaking to People Magazine about her health, the star said of the lump: ‘It really was throbbing and hurting.
‘I immediately went to my general practitioner and she told me I had to immediately go get it looked at. But the problem was I just couldn’t get an appointment. Everything was booked. So I had to wait until the end of November to get it done.
‘This journey’s been rough for me. This hasn’t been a breezy sale through life.’
‘I have panics where I’m like, just get this out of me,’ Nicole added. ‘You sit there and it’s in you and you’re like, every second that passes and it’s inside of me. It’s growing, and you’re just like, you just want it out.’
