Celebrity Big Brother star Lauren Simon has blasted fellow housemate Fern Britton, accusing her of playing a game.
The Real Housewives of Cheshire star, 51, was the second contestant to leave the reality programme, quickly followed out the door by Sharon Osbourne.
During her stint in the house, she gained a close bond with the former X Factor judge and Louis Walsh, as well as Love Island star Ekin-Su Culculoglu.
And while she’s expressed her desire for Strictly Come Dancing pro Nikita Kuzmin to win, Lauren has now hit out at another of her former co-stars.
‘The truth is that there became groups quite quickly, and everyone is playing a game and wants to win – some more than others – there was jealousy a little bit,’ she said about her time on the show.
‘The younger ones had their own group too and Fern interestingly enough preferred to play drama games with all the kids because I don’t think that her and Louis and Sharon had a bond at all which was quite interesting to see, she gravitated more to the young kids,’ Lauren continued.
Calling out the This Morning legend, 66, for ‘game playing’, she hit out: ‘I think Fern is playing a game if you want the truth, I don’t think she knows who she is or what she’s doing, she just wants to win.’
Echoing her previous comments, she added that she’s keen for Nikita to win the series, saying: ‘From the day I met him to now, I think he’s the winner.’
‘I think Fern’s playing a game and it’s nasty what she’s done to him last night, trying to wind him up so we see a bad side of him so she can win,’ Lauren went on, recalling an argument between the pair as tensions heightened.
Throwing shade at another of her fellow housemates, Lauren called out Marisha Wallace, who was evicted from the house just yesterday in a shock double eviction.
Ekin-Su had been left in tears when days earlier Marisha nominated her for eviction to her face, claiming it was because she saw her as competition to win.
However, the American actress, 38, has since shared on Late & Live that she felt something ‘wasn’t quite right’, and she was ‘scared’ to reveal the real reasons behind her nomination.
Talking about the difficulties of nominating people you’re so close with in the house and sharing ‘gorgeous moments’ with, Lauren admitted it was ‘really tough’.
‘Marisha and Ekin-Su did form a bond and friendship, and she probably didn’t think it through,’ Lauren said before blasting: ‘And she probably did want to win but she hasn’t, has she, so more fool her for being horrible.
‘Because you know what, there’s a funny thing called karma and it will always get you… believe me, I know!’
As well as growing close to the likes of Nikita, Lauren shared a particularly memorable moment where she was forced to sit in a bin with Louis after breaking rules.
She’s now opened up about her close friendship with the music manager, saying that she seems him like a ‘father figure’.
Lauren told us: ‘I love Louis, he’s so sarcastic, he says what he wants and what he thinks, but then he winks with a smile on his face.
‘He reminds me of my father, he’s a father figure because he’s a mentor, I lost my father three years ago, so it was really nice to have that connection, he’s just naughty and so was my dad.’
‘I fell in love with him straight away in a fatherly way,’ she added.
Series 17 of the hit reality show The Real Housewives of Cheshire launches on ITVBe and ITVX on Monday, March 25, at 9pm.
Celebrity Big Brother continues at 9pm tonight on ITV1.
