Katie Price feels under-appreciated by the general public and has reminded us of her career wins.
The 45-year-old star shot to fame as a model under the pseudonym of Jordan in the late 1990s. Over the next couple of decades, Katie, who recently ‘confirmed’ a new romance, managed to grace the covers of several magazines (and run as an MP candidate, make a Eurovision bid, and star in pantomimes – does the woman sleep?)
While speaking on a special episode of her podcast The Katie Price Show which was celebrating her previous Playboy shoot, she listed her many impressive accolades.
‘There’s not one magazine I didn’t do a cover for. I done Cosmopolitan, New Women, I done Elle magazine cover, Night and Day, FHM, GQ, Esquire, Loaded. I even got FHM Girl of the Year,’ said Katie.
‘If they still did magazine shoots, cover shoots like that now, I would absolutely love to do them but they don’t do them anymore.’
After recalling the impressive list, Katie, who co-hosts the podcast with sister Sophie Price, added that she doesn’t get enough praise for being a ‘real model’. Someone commission another series of Britain’s Next Top Model, but let’s just have Katie cast as host, judge and competitor!
‘People don’t really appreciate what I’ve done. I’m what they say is a real model. I am a real, tested, long-term real model in the way that I don’t do just do pictures and call myself a model,’ Katie explained.
Katie has done pretty well for herself since bursting into the world of showbiz and has released six autobiographies and carved out a successful television career.
Despite her fun career, she does find certain elements boring. She should try emails.
Katie used to get bored easily at photoshoots and frustrated with the amount of people on set: ‘I used to think “Will you all just f**k off and just let me do the shoot with the photographer?” I used to get bored quick but I used to get the content done quick.
When it comes to doing interviews is still of the mindset that she is an open book and will answer whatever is asked of her.
‘Now, when you do the interviews – and I’m still like it now – I don’t wanna see the questions, they can ask whatever they want and I’ll answer it as I want. Some of the lads’ mags were raunchy.
‘I was into the sex and all that as well then so it sort of went with me,’ she stated.
