Kanye West fires back at claims Taylor Swift kicked him out of the Super Bowl

Kanye West has strongly denied claims that Taylor Swift had him kicked out of the Super Bowl, insisting he left the Allegiant Stadium of his own volition.

The controversial superstar rapper, 46, was in attendance as the Kansas City Chiefs made it back to back Super Bowls with a 25-22 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

On the pitch, the Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce was congratulated on the pitch after the game by his girlfriend Taylor Swift, with the two producing Hollywood-style celebrations.

But according to NFL star Brandon Marshall, 39, who retired in 2018, Taylor took care of some other personal business before going to greet her new beau on the field.

‘[Kanye] was trying to leverage Taylor’ Swift’s celebrity – she gets p****d off. She makes a call or two. Everybody’s involved. He gets kicked out the stadium,’ he claimed.

However, the Runaway hitmaker has now refuted this story, saying he left the stadium of his own volition with wife Bianca Censori to ‘see different friends’ during the match.

In a lengthy Instagram statement, during which he addressed reaction to his new album Vultures and difficulties he’s faced in the last 12 months, he responded directly to Brandon’s claims.

‘I didn’t get kicked out of the Super Bowl – we left our seats to go to YG’s box and see different friends,’ he posted, referencing the 33-year-old Don’t Tell ‘Em rapper.

‘My wife had never been to a Super Bowl so I wanted to walk around and have a nice time – we had such a fun day,’ he added, reflecting on his experiences in Las Vegas stadium.

He then finished his post by stating: ‘The media control the narrative but the people have spoken’.

The apparent feud between Taylor, 34, and Kanye goes back 15 years to 2009, when Kanye infamously interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs.

The Love Story singer, who was 19 at the time, had the microphone taken out of her hand by the Jesus Walks rapper, who claimed Beyoncé should have won the award instead for ‘one of the best videos of all time’.

Days later, Taylor confirmed Kanye had apologised to her over the phone, only for the Good Life hitmaker to retract his apology in 2013.

Rumours of a collaboration were then put to bed in 2016 when Kanye’s song Famous, from his album The Life of Pablo, referenced Taylor and made derogatory remarks about her.

Since then, there’s been a fragile peace between Kanye, Taylor, and their respective teams and families.

Kanye arrived at the Super Bowl in typically unusual gear, sporting a full face maskand dressing entirely in black from head to toe, while Bianca also sported a full-black outfit with only her face visible.

Shortly after the Super Bowl, Kanye – whose legal name is Ye – left fans feeling concerned after undergoing a procedure to get titanium teeth.

During the rant that showed off his new teeth and had fans concerned for his health after a bulbous lump appeared on his top lip, Kanye remarked that he could post pictures of wife Bianca as much as he wanted.

The Heartless singer said: ‘Leave the king the f*** alone – I don’t care, bro, I’m gonna post my wife as much as I want – go post your wife on your f***ing Instagram.’
