Jordan North’s plans to appear on Celebrity Big Brother have seemingly been revealed, by none other than his former co-star Vick Hope.

Rumours have been swirling after the much-loved presenter, 34, announced he was leaving BBC Radio 1, in shock news on Friday.

Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing is set to replace him, which has caused many fans to blast the BBC with accusations of ‘classism’, while sources claim he could have a potential new job lined up at Capital.

But Vick, who Jordan hosted the drivetime show with, appears to have revealed what’s next for Jordan – Celebrity Big Brother.

So far, the official line-up for the 2024 reboot of the reality series has yet to be confirmed, but EastEnders star Max BowdenX Factor icon Louis Walsh, and even Ekin-Su Culculoglu are amongst those said to be taking part.

And now Jordan’s name has been thrown into the mix.

Commenting on his exit post on Saturday, Vick wrote: ‘Christ I’ll miss you so much Jord, what a radio legend and sweet sweet love.’

She then added: ‘Will be voting for you every night on CBB!!’

While we’re not entirely sure whether she was joking, Jordan replied with a laughing face and heart emojis.

Vick shared her own tribute to the radio presenter on her Instagram, writing in a lengthy post that she was ‘gutted’ at his exit.

Sharing some adorable snaps of the pair over the years, the 34-year-old said: ‘Absolutely gutted, to be honest. Our @jordannorth1 you’re a true @bbcradio1 legend, a dreamy co-host, and an incredibly special friend.

‘There are too many memories for these collages, but what a laugh we’ve had.

‘Thank you for sharing your wit and your warmth; your stories, your skill and your spirit.

‘Going Home with Vick and Jordan has been such a mad, chaotic ride, I’ve loved being on this journey with you for a little bit, and will always support and cheer for you as you embark on the next chapter.

‘You’re about to soar, everyone is going to love you as much as we do, just please look after yourself there. And keep the tunes coming.

‘I’m so sad we didn’t get a proper on-air send off, but I guess (inadvertently, accidentally appropriately) killing off Judge Jordan this week will have to do as a radio goodbye.’

Judge Jordan is a segment on the show where North adopts an alter-ego and tries to solve predicaments from the listeners, represented in a fake radio court hosted by Hope.

Vick added: ‘To our listeners, thank you for joining us every day and being the heart and soul of the show.

‘Let’s welcome lovely, brilliant @jamielaing with open arms and all have a bloody excellent time together.’

Jordan had earlier said on social media that he would miss his colleagues ‘greatly’, after working at the station for a decade.

‘I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all my wonderful colleagues / talented producers at Radio 1 who many I consider to be friends for life and will miss greatly, you’ve all reached out to me over the past 24 hours and it really has meant a lot,’ he said.

‘To my amazing fellow presenters I wish I could thank you all personally, I’ve loved working with you it’s been an absolute blast!

‘Big love to Katie Thistleton, Greg James, Arielle Free, Ricky, Melvin & Charlie, Dean & Vicky, Clara Amfo, Matt & Molly, Scott Mills, Grimmy, all the rest of you fantastic lot, and of course my partner in crime Vick Hope… I’ll miss being on air with you every day.

‘Most importantly the biggest of thank yous to the fantastic listeners who have been really generous and always made me feel welcome, your kind words & messages have been so lovely, thank you so much.

‘I’ll be back soon, and can’t wait to see you all again.’

Jordan is no stranger to reality TV, having been a runner-up on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2020.

Last year, he spoke to Metro.co.uk about the civilian series of Big Brother, sharing his excitement at the reality show’s return but warned this year’s saga could have one vital difference from previous seasons.

He said: ‘I can’t wait for it, it’s going to be good. AJ and Will are going to be really good presenters and I’m a guest on the spin-off show tomorrow so I’m going to have to go home tonight and watch it.

‘But I can’t wait to watch it, it was a big part of British culture for 20 odd years.’

Amid his positive attitude towards the return of the Big Brother house, Jordan explained his concerns for the new contestants and warned that social media’s boom could be harmful to them.

The presenter shared: ‘I don’t think it’ll be censored. I just hope when it comes out – because when it was popular there wasn’t social media as there is today – I just hope that people are kind on social media.

‘Don’t forget, if you don’t like someone that’s fair enough but these people have got feelings at the end of the day, so you just hope they don’t get it too bad on social media.

‘But I’m looking forward to seeing it, it should be good!’

Jordan has co-hosted with Vick since 2021, and replaced Fearne Cotton as co-presenter of the Top Of The Pops Christmas and new year editions with Clara Amfo in 2021.

Metro.co.uk has approached Jordan’s reps for comment.
