WWE fans were left stunned after Zoey Stark helped Trish Stratus beat Becky Lynch at Night of Champions.
The rising star only recently moved to Raw from the company’s developmental NXT brand during the draft, but she has already made a major impact after attacking The Man to bring the high profile bout to a controversial end.
Becky was bleeding from the nose at the end as the referee put gloves on to take care, while viewers were reeling from the shock interference.
Two generations collided in the ring as Trish and Becky fought in a bona fide dream match with both women pulling out all the stops in front of an electric crowd in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The win could have gone either way in the grudge match, but in the end the Hall of Famer used her experience and had a trick up her sleeve.
With Becky at ringside, Zoey appeared from under the ring and – unseen by the referee – hit the former world champion with her signature C360 move, before rolling her back in.
Trish followed it up with an attack of her own, scoring a win as she and her newfound ally smiled their way up the ramp.
Becky looked understandably fuming about the loss, with fans stunned by the development as Zoey looks to be getting presented in a major way alongside one of the best of all time.
With the five-time Women’s Champion by her side, the rising star has the world at her feet and fans can’t wait to see how things develop.
‘This is big for Zoey. I like that they’ve put her with Trish. Zoey is gonna be a major force in the women’s division,’ wrote one viewer.
Another added: ‘Zoey Stark out here in a couple of weeks on the main roster interrupting Becky Lynch vs Trish Stratus. Yeah she’s here for big things.Revenge is a dish best served cold.’
WWE Night of Champions is available live on the WWE Network.
