Sir Rod Stewart has shared adorable pictures as he meets his two new grandchildren for the first time.
The doting grandad, 78, is father to four sons and four daughters, but up until last month, grandfather to only one grandaughter, Delilah, 11.
However, in the last few weeks, his family has grown, and in adorable pictures today, Sir Rod couldn’t hold back his loving smile.
Rod’s daughter Ruby, 35, welcomed her first son Oti Stewart Kalick on Tuesday, May 9.
Just days later, on Friday, May 12, Rod’s son Liam, 28, announced the arrival of their first son Louie.
It was later revealed that little Louie had a sweet link to Sir Rod, as the baby is named after the rock icon: Louie Mark Roderick Stewart.
In heart-warming pictures shared on Instagram, Sir Rod wrote: ‘Happy grandad.’
One snap saw him cuddling Louie on an armchair, while another saw him posing with Otis, grinning at the camera as he held him.
This new additions to the family comes after Sir Rod and Penny Lancaster, 52, renewed their wedding vows 15 years on from when they first tied the knot.
Not the first time they felt the need to renew their rows, the pair opted for the special ceremony in celebration of their 10th wedding anniversary back in 2017.
A friend close to the family shared to Women’s Day magazine: ‘There’s a very good reason why Rod’s insisted he space out his tour dates – it’s the perfect place and the perfect time to renew their wedding vows.
‘Now they can’t wait and are using this chance to do something special while here.
‘Penny and Rod love being in love.
‘They think there’s something fun about celebrating their vows in different locations around the world, so why not do it all again in Sydney!’
