Priscilla Presley and her granddaughter, Riley Keough, have reached a settlement in the battle over Lisa Marie Presley’s will, it has been claimed.
Lisa, daughter of Priscilla and music icon Elvis, died in January at the age of 54.
Shortly after the news emerged, it was widely reported that her loved ones had clashed over changes made to her trust – with her mother thought to be questioning the validity of an amendment which cut her out of the arrangements.
According to new reports, Riley and Priscilla came to agreement in a court in LA on Tuesday, which has left all sides happy.
People Magazine reports that the Daisy Jones actress’ legal team will submit the paperwork, with another hearing scheduled for August 4.
‘They have reached a settlement. Families are happy,’ Priscilla’s lawyers said, via the publication. ‘Everyone is happy. Unified and together and excited for the future.’
Riley’s team added that she ‘would not have agreed to the settlement if she was not happy with it’.
Lisa died at the beginning of the year, after suffering a cardiac arrest, and was laid to rest at her dad’s Graceland estate shortly after.
Following her loss, Priscilla made headlines when she contested the validity and authenticity of her daughter’s will, after a ‘purported 2016 amendment’ to the Promenade Trust named her children – Riley and late son Benjamin – as co-trustees, removing Priscilla and her former business manager Barry Siegel.
She reportedly challenged the amendment, alleging that there are ‘many issues surrounding the authenticity and validity’, including the misspelling of her name.
As well as this, she argued that the amendment was never delivered to her during her daughter’s lifetime, which is required under the terms of the Trust, and that the signature ‘appears inconsistent’ on the paperwork.
However, despite the reports, Priscilla insisted that rumors of a ‘rift’ between the family were not true.
Appearing on stage last month during the Newcastle stop of her tour, an Evening With Priscilla Presley, she was questioned on whether she was in speaking terms with her granddaughter, to which she replied: ‘We are just fine.’
She added that allegations of a feud are ‘not true.’
