A father-of-four has shared how he’s been working hard to restore his wife’s childhood home.
Back in June, Adam Miller, 36, bought his wife Jessica’s, 32, old house for $525,000 (£380,000).
Entrepreneur and business owner Adam then set to work getting the house restored and ready for his wife and sons to live in, documenting his efforts on TikTok under the username oldhouseadam.
He’s torn up floorboards, broken down walls and totally updated the building – which he estimates has cost no less than $300,000 [£217,000].
Adam even persisted in the wake of a storm that wrecked parts of the roof.
Now, nine months later, the 115-year-old home looks pristine inside and out.
Adam said: ‘I was able to put extra focus on the house because of being slow at our different businesses, it was a great way to not think about the outside world.
‘We want this house to stay in our family for generations.
‘We have invited the world into our home online and it has been incredible to share this experience and the kind words of strangers.
‘We have people say they are inspired to do something now and that’s an incredible reward for us!’
Jessica added: ‘I feel like we have listened to the house and given it life again and the character it deserves.
‘It’s not just our story to preserve but the story of generations of families before us.’
