With another lockdown looming, we might all get back into the kitchen.
Last time, social media feeds filled with sourdough and banana bread but recipes with just a few ingredients were particularly popular.
For those that prefer a savoury treat over something sweet, we bring you ‘cheese cookies’, made with just three things – butter, flour and parmesan.
You only need one bowl too, which means you don’t have to face lots of washing up.
The recipe comes from The Petite Cook, who went viral with her magic cake recipe at the start of lockdown.
You might describe these as biscuits in but Andrea, aka The Petite Cook, calls them cookies.
She says they ‘are the easiest and most delicious savoury cookies you’ll ever make’.
If you want to make them a little more fancy, you can add some herbs or spices but they’re still delicious on their own.
Andrea suggests a pinch of chilli flakes for a spicy twist, or add rosemary for an aromatic note. She says sage or thyme work well too.
All you have to do is mix the ingredients together and then knead. Leave it to rest in the fridge for half an hour, slice the cookies and then bake.
Andrea says you can freeze the dough to use another time or freeze the baked cookies if you’re in need of a quick treat.
In her blog, where you’ll find the full recipe, Andrea added: ‘They don’t last longer than half an hour when my family is around.
‘And I’m pretty confident that once you try them, you and your family will love these as much as we do.’
