McDonald’s launches a Triple Cheeseburger for those who want a lot of meat in their mouth

Is bigger better?

According to McDonald’s, yes, yes it is.

From the same people that brought about the concept of supersizing and launched the Big Mac (then the even bigger Grand Mac), now comes the Triple Cheeseburger.

As the name suggests, it’s just like a regular McDonald’s Cheeseburger, but with three patties instead of one.

Oh, and three slices of cheese, too, because who wants to multiple their meat without also throwing some extra cheese in there, too?

So, to recap, that’s up three 100% British and Irish beef patties with onions, pickles, mustard and cheese, in a soft toasted bun.

Now, some might say that three patties in one bun is simply too many, but McDonald’s clearly disagrees.

And for those whose usual order is two or three Cheeseburgers, we can imagine this is quite a welcome addition to the menu.

It’s certainly been well received by customers in Yorkshire, where the Triple Cheeseburger was first trialled.

After a successful limited run, McDonald’s today announced the new menu item would roll out across the UK from Wednesday 2 September, from £2.19.

Bear in mind, before you go running to your nearest Maccas, that all the coronavirus precautions remain in place, with social distancing and safety measures including hand sanitisers at restaurant entrances, contact tracing for customers who dine-in, and reductions on the number of people allowed inside each restaurant at one time – so expect some queues.
