Leon is now doing home delivery and is donating all profits to the NHS

For lots of people, this will be the longest time in their adult lives that they haven’t eaten a Leon for lunch.

The healthy chain – popular with those who like to dine al desko – closed its doors last month due to coronavirus, much to the dismay of office workers.

But the good news is that you can now get your favourite Leon meals delivered to your home and all the profits will be donated to the NHS.

The chain has just launched its Feed Britain service, which has three objectives in mind: delivering much-loved Leon meals to customers, providing store cupboard essentials and supporting the NHS.

The best part is that 100% of the profits from the initiative go to supporting NHS staff, as it aims to provide them with one hot and healthy meal every day.

It’s worth pointing out that those looking to get their hands on their favourite Leon meals will not be able to buy a single portion. Instead, Feed Britain is offering meal boxes, which feature a variety of customer favourites.

There are two main types to choose from – the ‘family box’ (which contains three meals from the restaurant menu: Brazilian Black Beans, Thai Green Chicken Curry and Chilli Con Carne), as well as the ‘vegan box’ (which includes the Brazilian Black Beans, Gobi and the Coconut, Jackfruit & Lime Curry).

Fruit and vegetable boxes and daily essential packages are also available to order through the website.

Currently, delivery is only available within the M25 – but Feed Britain says it’s working to expand this.

On the Feed Britain website, it reads: ‘Our three aims are to: help those who don’t have easy access to food, feed the NHS and other key workers and create new opportunities for food producers, farmers and wholesalers whose businesses have been threatened by the collapse of the restaurant industry.’
