Friday the 13th is considered the unluckiest day of the year with many believing it to bring an abundance of misfortune.

The history of superstition surrounding it has been long-standing and believed to have originated from the story of Last Supper, which saw Judas Iscariot – known to be Jesus’ betrayer – the 13th person to join Christ and his disciples at the table.

Fear of Friday 13th can also be traced back to King Philip IV of France arresting hundreds of Knights Templar on in the day in October in1307
