Vacuuming is one of the most boring tasks when it comes to cleaning the house.
That’s why the invention of the robot vacuum cleaner was music to many of our ears when it was first released. That is until we saw the price tag.
Some of the big name brands that make robot vacuums can command prices of hundreds of pounds.
The Dyson 360 Eye, for example, costs £799.99, while the popular Roomba – even if you go back to models made three years ago such as the iRobot 690 – can be upwards of £300.
Lidl have just changed the game with their new offering, however, and are now selling a robot vacuum for one tenth of the cost of the Dyson model.
For £79.99, you can grab the Vileda VR One Cleaning Robot at the German supermarket, which will clean your house without you having to lift a finger.
The original RRP of the vacuum was £119.99, so you’re making a saving even on that.
It cleans both hard floors and short pile carpets, and has an intelligent navigation system to avoid bumping into your stairs and big furniture.
With an impressive running time of 80 minutes per full charge and a 500ml dust box with double filter. Basically, it’s built for effortless cleaning.
It launched in Lidl today, so you might want to hurry down to the store, as items in the Middle of Lidl do tend to sell out fast.
‘With the ability to effortlessly clean into corners, edges and under furniture, this vacuum robot is the ultimate time saving gadget,’ Lidl said.
‘The Vileda Cleaning Robot launches in-store on 30 January, meaning that shoppers will have to be quick if they want to clean up this great offer.’
