Last week, we learned of a seasonally appropriate cookie hack involving decapitated angels and Baby Yoda. This week, we’re back into the green-tinged swing of things with another Yoda-related treat.
It turns out that the tiniest star of The Mandalorian is actually quite easy to turn into a cocktail.
Reddit user grayspriral, a bartender at Laka Lono Rum Club in Omaha, Nebraska, recently posted an image of their latest cocktail creation.
‘I made a Baby Yoda cocktail at work today,’ they wrote.
The post has since received nearly 46,000 upvotes, and comments like: ‘Trademark that before Disney sees it and starts selling it for $59.98’ and ‘I hope you put vodka in it and called it Yodka’.
So how is it made? According to grayspriral, you’ll need to mix Midori, fresh pineapple and lime juice, a dash of coconut cream and Baiju, a popular Chinese spirit.
To complete the Yoda look, add lime wedge ears, a napkin robe and two black olives or dark cherries anchored with toothpicks.
May the booze be with you.
The clever concoction has since inspired bars around the world to try their own drinkable Baby Yodas. We’re loving how everyone has their own distinct spin on things, from gigantic eyes to margaritas.
Here are some of our favourites:
- This one sounds delicious, combining matcha, cucumber and gin. Get the recipe here.
2. The Baby Yoda Matcha & Yuzu Cocktail is quite similar to the previous beverage, however it’s got a bit of elderberry and slightly more Yoda-like ears.
3. This concoction gets its fluff from egg white, and is flavoured with pear brandy to keep with the green theme. Check out those crunchy apple lobes.
4. Those searing eyes will not be forgotten.
5. Yoda freezes over.
6. The eyes double as celestial black holes.
So, you now know what to do.
Head to your nearest bar and put the bartender’s cocktail Force to the test. They’re probably sick of making Christmas concoctions anyway.
