Your star sign’s tarot horoscope for the month of March 2025

Get ready for a new month (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

March starts off with Venus turning retrograde in Aries, a transit that lasts for six weeks and brings underlying relationship tensions to the surface.

Things then remain relatively quiet when it comes to the cosmos until March 14, when a Lunar Eclipse in Virgo sparks productivity and finishing tasks that have been forgotten or ignored.

However, Mercury Retrograde (this time in Aries) begins just a few hours later, so it’s likely that motivation will be beset with some bumps in the road.

By the time Aries season rolls around on March 21, you’ll be ready for a clean slate; a spring clean, both physically and spiritually.

Ahead, you’ll find your star sign’s tarot horoscope for the month of February 2025, with three tarot cards drawn for each sign and their meaning for you explained.

Aries

March 21 to April 20

Tarot cards for Aries for March: The World, King of Swords, Seven of Wands

Meaning: Fight for your right

A lot of masculine, forceful energy with these cards, mental strategy and physical thrust to get your point across, your agenda obeyed, your mission accomplished. Sometimes we all have to fight, to push back, to challenge and demand. Your Mars ruler is very adept at this, you were kind of born to lead and rule. So do it!

The King of Swords is you being shrewd and intellectual about your plans, pressure testing them and making them robust and persuasive. The World sees you launching new ambitions this March which will take you places, take you further than you currently believe is possible! If travel or location change or global connections are involved then this card is a great omen.

The Seven of Wands is about rivalry and competition. Others have other ideas for you. So you need to be forceful and push back. Fight for your right to do what you want and get what you need.

Meaning: Creative times

The King and Queen of Cups asks you to make your relationship, love, family and home realms safe and secure this March, with great conversations, aligned plans, nurture and good care, and happy times. Revel in your relationships, serve and celebrate them.

If you do, The Magician will visit with you, sparking a surge of creativity and imagination, a raft of new ideas and thinking, inventions and innovations, new pitches and proposals. Tarot cards for Gemini for March: Four of Wands, Knight of Swords, Knight of Wands

Meaning: Curiosity saved the cat

Follow your curiosity! You are the most curious and nosy sign of the zodiac, and this thirst for info and updates gets you into all the right places! Even if it’s via a wonky pathway… the interest you follow will lead you to something that is meant for you.

The Knights of Wands and Swords are you putting your wandering imagination and curiosity in charge of your actions and decisions this month. It feels like an adventure and, honestly, it is! Who knows where these hobbies and interests and questions and outings will lead?

The Four of Wands shows that you’re rising, you’re growing, you’re developing a new reach and outlook, many ideas will flow your way – and it will all combine into a major leap of faith into something new and rewarding. Maybe a new role, job, project, outlet, course, purpose or creative endeavour. Be open minded, be curious, be ready to receive so many amazing new thoughts and inputs.

Cancer

June 22 to July 23

Forget the old ‘sticks and stones’ adage (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Tarot cards for Cancer for March: Three of Swords, Seven of Cups, Six of Cups

Meaning: Responding to a betrayal

Betrayal doesn’t have to be physical for it to cause pain; people can stab you in the back with words, indiscretion, opinions, and ideas. So don’t think you have to put up with stuff because it’s not tangible, physical actions. Words can wound greatly.

The Three of Swords and Seven of Cups show that this has happened to you and you’re still mulling over what to do about it. You take your time when hurt, you slow right down and sit, quietly and secretively, to nurse your wound and ponder the next step (all the while still talking merrily to the person who dealt the blow, they will never know the depth of your pain).

The Six of Cups sees this as being a family member or someone with a strong connection to your past, and with whom you have shared great affection. Does this over-ride what they did or said? Can you forgive? What steps would that take? Are you willing to take those steps? Think this through carefully and act accordingly.

Leo

July 24 to August 23

Get ready to be vindicated (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Tarot cards for Leo for March: Two of Swords, Justice, The Moon

Meaning: Revelation leads to decision-making

A thorny situation is unfolding and revealing the true undercurrents and forces that have actually created it (vs what is overtly shared or looks like the cause). There’s always more to the story, right? Right.

The Moon and Justice reveal that a powerful epiphany is coming which will change how you think about this and show the true villain of the piece… and it won’t be you. If people have so far blamed you for causing this situation then they will have to eat their words! Vindication lies ahead for you.

The Two of Swords shows that the outcome of this revelation will be a new decision for you to make, a different set of options to choose from, and choose you must! Don’t sit back and let this carry on, step in and make a decision about what’s going to happen next. Take back your power and take control.

Virgo

August 24 to September 23

virgo star sign

Tarot cards for Virgo for March: King of Cups, The Hanged Man, Queen of Cups

Meaning: Tell them how you feel

You are going through a shift in how you view your closest relationships and what you want from them or what you feel you can best invest in them. You have always loved people in ‘practical’ ways like doing favours, helping out, and showing up.

The King and Queen of Cups reveal you perhaps feel ready to share more, express yourself openly, and be vulnerable, say how you really feel. You are shy and cautious but you also recognise people need to hear what you think, possibly because you yourself feel that need more urgently or deeply.

The Hanged Man shows that a strange little event or conversation will really accelerate this shift, and you will find yourself saying things you’d never normally say. With a good outcome too, it’s maybe what people have been waiting to hear from you.

Libra

September 24 to October 23

Trust in the Universe and it’ll all work out (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Tarot cards for Libra for March: Nine of Cups, Nine of Coins, The Moon

Meaning: Unforeseen wishes

Despite my job, I can’t actually see or guarantee the future. No one can. And you are reminded of this, in March, as something you long hoped and prayed for finally happens, and brings with it a tail-end of unexpected consequences. Some good, some more ambivalent. Life is funny. Everything has a ripple effect, we can’t control it all.

The Nine of Cups is your wish being granted, The Moon is a consequent mystery or revealed secret or unforeseen happening that directly follows it. The Nine of Coins is a welcome reassurance that all is well still, and that this will all turn out right in the end. So, don’t try and undo your wish or think this was a wasted dream. The story is still playing out.

Get to the bottom of things, ask questions, fathom your own narrative, and you will see the true value of the granted wish and the silver linings that unexpectedly accompanied it. Get the balance right between both and life will feel empowering, busy, fulfilling and fruitful this month.

Scorpio

October 24 to November 22

Which road will you take? (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Tarot cards for Scorpio for March: Two of Wands, The High Priestess, Six of Coins

Meaning: A choice

There’s always a choice. You’ve always got options. The Two of Wands sees you facing a cross roads this March and each road leading on from it is very different.

The first is shown by The High Priestess. Passivity. Introspection. Letting events unfold without your influence or commentary. Looking inwards rather than absorbing or interacting with the external world. Coming to your own conclusions, unfettered by discussion or input. You are adept at this pathway.

The second is shown by the Six of Coins. Quite the reverse of the first. Using your power and energy to affect as many good outcomes, improvements, and acts of help and generosity as possible. Seeing yourself as a light sharing your glow, a ripple casting out and impacting as many other folk positively as possible.

Which approach do you want to take? Decide. And act accordingly. Each route will lead to a different destination.

Sagittarius

November 23 to December 21

sagittarius star sign
This will be a just reward (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Tarot cards for Sagittarius for March: Knight of Wands, Three of Swords, The Star

Meaning: Gifts incoming

You are both optimistic and philosophical. You can think things through to a deep, emotive, higher consciousness level and return from that place with a positive spin on it, which is a gift.

The Knight of Wands and Three of Swords has you doing this with something that happened at the tail end of 2024 that was painful, hurtful, wounding. You have taken a while to process it, think about it, review it… and now you’re ready to put your silver lining on it!

The Star blesses you for this thoughtful homework and gives you, quite literally, a Gold Star in reward. Something amazing is coming your way this March as good karma for what you endured and have overcome. A new gift or wish will be granted simply because you handled this well, and the Universe thinks you’re ready for a treat. Sometimes things just work out well, right.

Capricorn

December 22 to January 21

capricorn star sign
There’s no shame in admitting you were wrong (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Tarot cards for Capricorn for March: Eight of Cups, Judgment, Seven of Swords

Meaning: Release and move on

You are preparing to change your mind about something (or someone) and admit that what you hoped was the case… is not the case. Changing your mind can feel like an invasive process sometimes because you have to dismantle a preconception or belief, you have to collapse a reality you held onto, you have to move the mental furniture around!

The Eight of Cups shows that this is about admitting something, or someone, is not what you thought and you’re not going to continue with things. The Seven of Swords reveals an element of backstabbing or dishonesty in this matter. What was presented to you is not what was really happening.

Once bitten, twice shy. Judgment reveals you’ve learnt a lot here, and that you – I promise – are going to come out of this better off. New and exciting replacements are just around the corner so don’t hesitate at letting go of what hasn’t worked out.

Aquarius

January 22 to February 19

AQUARIUS star sign
Let bygones be bygones (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Tarot cards for Aquarius for March: Six of Cups, Ace of Cups, Knight of Wands

Meaning: Happy reunion

Ready for the return of someone or something you have really missed and wished to rekindle? Good! The Six and Ace of Cups promise that the ex/long lost family member/favourite colleague/old best friend are on their way back into your life and that things will pick up where you left off, but even better!

This person is either a Water or Fire sign (Cancer, Leo, Aries, Pisces, Scorpio or Sagittarius). The Knight of Wands hints that you bump into each other socially or on some kind of outing, trip or journey, and you are so happy and pleased at that this twist of fate that you reconcile immediately, and start to plan new adventures and fun times together.

Why did you ever break apart? Life is complicated, right. Things happen. People get distracted. Forget all of that now. Move ahead and re-forge your precious bond.

Pisces

February 20 to March 20

pisces star sign
Assess what you can control (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Tarot cards for Pisces for March: Page of Coins, Eight of Swords, Ace of Swords

Meaning: Self-awareness

A really useful learning experience will unfold for you this month which is authentically aligned with your true self and in the ongoing revealing and nurturing of this true self. Honesty is the key.

The Page of Coins is you trying hard to make sense of other people and their actions. And I think, at some point, you will consider the futility of this exercise and, instead, turn your analysis to your role, needs, habits, input and opinions on the matter, because when you work on yourself that effort is never wasted. You can make changes in your own realm.

The Eight of Swords has you recognising where you’ve projected things you don’t feel comfortable with or feel icky about in your nature onto others, while the Ace of Swords has you talking about this openly and, in saying it all out loud, feeling totally released and liberated from those limiting beliefs or traits. This is a wonderful process of discovery and self awareness growth. Embrace it.
