Oasis have just dropped the biggest hint so far they’re about to reunite

Up Next

Since Oasis split in 2009, fans of the hit Britpop band have been praying for a reunion.

While there has been the odd rumbling of a comeback over the years, either Noel or Liam Gallagher, who aren’t on speaking terms, have been quick to dash them.

However, for the first time in 15 years, the Wonderwall musicians have given the biggest hint yet that an Oasis return isn’t a distant dream.

On the band’s official X page, a cryptic video of a country house was posted with no caption or explanation.

Many users on X pointed out the property resembled Sawmills Studios in Cornwal, where Oasis recorded debut album, Definitley Maybe.

This sparked a feverish hope that Liam and Noel had finally buried the hatchet and were plotting an Oasis comeback.

One very excited fan @carrie_patino admitted: ‘A little pee just came out!’

Already contemplating snapping up tickets, @j_1702 exclaimed: ‘Imagine the reunion at Leeds omg omg.’

Alongside multiple fingers crossed emojis @marcus71931691 said: ‘Both brothers are in there arranging the tour they owe us.’

However, several X users suggested that rather than a comeback the clip was hinting at a re-release of Definitely Maybe to mark its 30th anniversary.

They did also speculate whether a re-release might contain previously discarded tracks from the vault and therefore new music.

Noel, 56, previously said that unheard Oasis music would be released to mark 30 years of Definitley Maybe.

He told the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera: ‘In the Sony archives we’ve found tapes dating to those sessions. We thought they were lost, but they were mislabelled.

‘They are wonderful versions of those songs, some acoustic versions.

The Live Forever singer did though sadly rubbish reunion rumours: ‘There won’t be a tour, we won’t come back to play them together.’

The band split in 2009 when Noel wanted to go solo after persistently butting heads with his brother since their band formed in 1991.

Reports suggested that the brothers struggled to work with each other for the 18 years they were in Oasis together.

Several incidents took place while they worked together including Liam questioning the paternity of Noel’s daughter, leading to a punch-up, and another fallout which led Noel to hit Liam with a cricket bat.

Fifteen years on since their split, the brothers are still not on speaking terms and still take opportunities to publically lash out at each other.
