The girlfriend of Giovanni Pernice has weighed in on the allegations against him as the ‘feud’ with his former Strictly Come Dancing partners rages on.
Molly Brown, who the dancer shared a loved up Instagram post about weeks before, has revealed how she finds the whole thing ‘bizarre’.
Ever since Amanda Abbington, 52, dropped out of last year’s Strictly, the future of her 33-year-old dance partner on the show has been in question.
The Sherlock star said her experience left her with PTSD and she is reportedly considering a ‘formal’ complaint against him after an ’emotional summit’ with his other partners.
Giovanni has attempted to steer clear of the speculation, claiming the two just didn’t ‘gel’ as he is a ‘perfectionist’ but remaining complimentary of her ‘great talent’.
His girlfriend, Molly, reportedly has been by his side throughout the ‘horrific few months’ and is baffled by the three women’s claims.
‘Gio has been through an horrific few months but Molly has been an absolute rock the whole time,’ an insider told MailOnline.
They continued: ‘She’s told friends how bizarre she thinks the stuff is that Gio’s been accused of because it doesn’t tally with the person she knows.
‘Like many of his mates, she’s been left quite angry about it and thinks those throwing around claims should either make a complaint or stop causing trouble.’
The romance is said to be progressing quickly, with rumours about an engagement — just after speculation the pair had parted ways.
Trouble started when Amanda famously quit the BBC dance competition mid-way through the last series, citing ‘personal reasons’ at the time.
She has since complained that it was Giovanni’s treatment of her during rehearsals that was unbearable and triggered her stress disorder.
Months later speculation arose that the Sherlock star had an alleged meeting with Laura Whitmore and Ranvir Singh, two of Giovanni’s former dance partners.
The trio are said to have ‘compared notes’ about their experiences with him, shedding tears as they discussed their time on the show.
While the feud rumbles on, Giovanni has continued his Let Me Entertain You tour around the UK, with Molly joining him in London.
The couple exited the theatre holding hands and beaming from ear to ear, with a rather sparkly ring spotted on the model’s finger which sparked engagement rumours.
After the performance, both Molly and Giovanni’s parents joined them for a late-night dinner in an upscale restaurant in Knightsbridge.
