WWE legend Bray Wyatt will be seen out of character for the first time in a new trailer released almost seven months after his death.

The late wrestling icon, who tragically died aged 36 in August 2023, will be honoured in a brand new Peacock documentary looking at his incredible career and life outside the ring.

Unfortunately for fans in the UK, Metro.co.uk understands that the film will be exclusive to Peacock at launch on April 1, which means it won’t be immediately available on the WWE Network.

The synopsis reads: ‘Bray Wyatt is one of the most revered and mysterious characters in WWE history. The story behind that character and the man himself, Windham Rotunda, has never been documented until now.

‘Using never-before seen interviews and exclusive backstage footage, Windham Rotunda’s inspiring story unfolds.

‘This documentary chronicles Windham’s incredible rise to worldwide fame as a WWE Superstar, and the struggles and success that came with being a creative visionary.

‘Sadly, in August of 2023, Windham passed away at the age of 36.  In the wake of his untimely death, Windham leaves behind a family still grieving with loss as they celebrate a lasting legacy that continues to create and inspire.’

Real name Windham Rotunda, the former world champion was notoriously enigmatic and candid off screen, keeping up the incredible mystique around his character.

This documentary will delve into the man behind those characters for the first time, including interviews with Windham himself, plus ‘never-before-seen footage from the WWE archives’.

It will also feature interviews with those who knew him, including his family, his brother Bo Dallas, and big names like John Cena, Triple H and Becky Lynch.

Taking to X to announce the documentary, WWE boss Triple H – real name Paul Levesque – paid tribute to the late star.

He wrote: ‘Windham Rotunda had a brilliant mind. There was no wall he wouldn’t break down in the name of storytelling. You had no choice but to believe in him. He was just that good. It’s time for his story to be the one that’s told.’
