M&S launches ‘naughtiest’ range ever and everyone’s saying the same thing

Marks & Spencer has left shoppers blushing with its ‘naughtiest range ever’ just in time for Valentine’s Day.

The range features four chocolate products, a cheeky selection featuring solid milk chocolates shaped like lips, a cherry, an aubergine and a peach, as well as the new I Looong For You chocolate sausage dog, Peachy Walnut Whips, and Shucks You’re Amazing chocolate oysters.

And now the high street giant has shared a closer look at the new love-themed chocolates in a video that’s equally as ‘naughty’ as the products.

In a clip shared to Instagram, a woman is shown enjoying the chocolates in bed as she lounges on red silky sheets. Close up shots show her hands caressing the smorgasbord of sweet treats.

50 Cent’s Candy Shop plays in the background, giving the whole thing a very sultry vibe. Ohh la la.

M&S captioned the post: ‘Warning: the following video contains extreme levels of cheese (…not that kind!) and chocolate. Our naughtiest range ever deserved a naughty-ish vid right? Introducing the perfect gifts for Valentine’s Day.

‘And get ready to put your phone away cause things are about to get TASTY around here. From oysters to whips and not forgetting an or two (who are we to judge). So slip into something a little more comfortable and tuck right in (yes ok, we mean eating chocolate on the sofa in your pyjamas. Pop the kettle on too while you’re at it!)

‘Available in your nearest M&S Foodhall NOW or online @ocadouk.’

Thousands of people have liked the video, but it seems many had the exact same thought about one chocolate in particular.

‘I wondered what the long chocolate at the front was for a second there,’ said @perslparlour.

And she wasn’t the only one who thought the sausage dog looked rather rude! @houseofarchie agreed, saying: ‘Me too!!! I didn’t see the dog’s head.’

@colourfulcoos replied: ‘I had to do a double take for a second at the long object!’

@roula.roulz admitted: ‘Same here, my eyebrows hit the roof! I still think it’s dodgy.’

@mrs_mhow joked: ‘That sausage dog is definitely made in the same factory as Ann Summers produce.’

While @lsmuthu1988 proclaimed: ‘Good job that dog wasn’t upside down.’ @abbinail added: ‘Whoever designed that sausage dog knew what they were doing.’

Others thought the video was ‘so funny’, ‘brilliant’ and ‘very naughty’, however it wasn’t for everyone as a few people claimed it had given them the ‘ick’. Whoops.

This comes after M&S caused a stir with another recent product launch, their ‘perfect’ poached egg.

For the price of £2, M&S shoppers can bag two ready-made, microwavable poached eggs to have with their toast in the mornings – no pan required.

But we wanted to see how they measure up to usual home-poached versions? So Metro’s Alice Giddings put them to the test.

She said: ‘Clad in plastic packaging, the eggs look somewhat like preserved testicles – closer to a specimen that should be sat in a jar on the shelf of a mad scientist’s lab than something I’d use to top my toast.

‘But in the name of journalism, I headed to the office kitchen (much to the dismay of my colleagues) to heat up my instant breakfast.

‘Following the instructions to a T, I removed the cardboard sleeve and placed the M&S pack directly into the microwave.’

While Alice concluded that ‘the taste was good’, she says it doesn’t compare to a homemade one.

She added: ‘All in all, you wouldn’t catch me paying £2 of my hard-earned money to buy these underwhelming breakfast accompaniments.’

The retailer has also been praised for their whole roast dinner deal that’s currently available for £12.

The deal feeds two and includes a main course, plus three side dishes such as roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, pigs in blankets, vegetables, or gravy.

Options for the main include pork, sage and onion-stuffed chicken, British ready-to-roast boneless basted beef joint, British ready-to-roast boneless bacon loin joint, ready-to-roast sage and onion pork loin joint, or a British rotisserie chicken.

M&S recommends pairing the beef joint with the runner bean and mixed vegetable selection, roast potatoes and rich beef gravy.
