Paris Hilton’s baby girl has a very fancy name indeed, which she has now revealed as well as her reasons behind using a surrogate.
The billionaire businesswoman, 42, and her husband Carter Reum, also 42, stunned fans in November when they revealed that they had become parents to a second child.
It was a huge shock to Paris’s millions of followers, as she simply wrote on Instagram on Thanksgiving weekend: ‘Thankful for my baby girl 🥹’
The TV personality added a photo of a pink baby outfit with the name ‘London’ printed on the front.
Now, London’s full name has been confirmed as London Marilyn Hilton Reum.
Her birth certificate, obtained by In documents filed with L.A. County’s Vital Records, obtained by The Blast, also confirms that she was born on November 11, 2023, at 11:43am at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Baby London’s weight and height were not listed on the document, filed with LA County’s Vital Records.
London’s full name was also confirmed by Romper, where Paris was recently interviewed.
Paris herself has long spoken about Marilyn Monroe, so perhaps that’s where she sought inspiration for her newborn’s middle name?
In fact, Paris said she did a DNA test to find out if she was related to the iconic Hollywood star.
She previously told Cosmopolitan: ‘Psychics have said I’m related to Marilyn Monroe and things like that.
‘My mom just did one of DNA kits and I am related to Marilyn Monroe and Queen Elizabeth.’
How accurate that information is, we can’t be sure, but Paris is a Monroe fan regardless.
Little London is the heiress’s second baby after she and Carter welcomed son Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum on January 16 this year.
Both London and Phoenix were born via surrogate, with Paris and Carter keeping the pregnancies under wraps – even from their families.
Speaking to Romper, Paris described motherhood as ‘my best era yet.’
On parenting, she added: ‘I feel so lucky because all my other friends who have kids are like, “I’m up all night. They’re crying all night.” My babies, they’re just so calm, so chill.’
Paris now feels like her ‘life is finally complete’ as a family of four, saying she’s glad she and Carter kept their pregnancies secret.
‘I’m really happy I did it that way, just for Carter and I to have that journey together without the outside world chirping in.’
On her decision to use a surrogate, Paris admitted she has ‘so much PTSD from what I went through as a teenager’, having been physically, sexually, and emotionally abused during an 11-month stint at Utah’s Provo Canyon School.
Paris now has regular ‘panic attacks’ when visiting the doctors: ‘I just knew that would not be healthy for me or the baby, growing inside of someone who has such high anxiety.’
However, Paris has also caught heat for her parenting style.
Recently, the American socialite was mom-shamed when a clip went viral of her changing her son’s diaper when he was around one month old.
A scene from her Hulu reality series, Paris in Love, showed Paris supported by her son’s nanny and sister Nicky Hilton.
Taking on the task for the first time, she said: I know said I wouldn’t do this on my birthday but… I will for you, anything for Phoenix.’
‘I’m scared,’ she admitted.
The Simple Life star was then encouraged to talk gently to her son while changing him as the nanny offered words of advice.
Viewers were shocked, with some describing the footage as ‘heartbreaking’ while others noted a ‘disconnect’ between mom and son.
Loyal supporters jumped to defend Paris, though, assuring that Paris is ‘trying and learning’ and urging people to give her a break.
