Stranger Things star Caleb McLaughlin has teased he knows the conclusion of the hit sci-fi drama’s fifth and final season.
The actor, 21, has played Lucas Sinclair on the Netflix hit since its first episode in 2016, initially helping bring Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) back home.
Lucas has grown particularly close to fan-favourite Max (Sadie Sink), with the pair facing down villain Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) last season.
While Caleb has previously shared his big hope for Lucas in the finale – that he discovers his ambition – he hasn’t indicated he’s learnt his character’s fate, until now.
Speaking about how Stranger Things’ ending pans out, he said: I’m not telling you. No, I actually don’t have all the secrets yet.
He continued to Collider: ‘I have an idea of what’s gonna happen, but I can’t wait to hear more about it, once this writers’ strike is over.’
The final season of Stranger Things has currently paused production amid the ongoing Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike.
Continuing Stranger Things was deemed ‘not possible’ right now after thousands of TV and film writers staged a walkout to negotiate fairer pay.
Other Stranger Things stars to have addressed the finale episode include Noah, who promised viewers the team had done a ‘great job’ with Will.
In December last year, Noah hinted at how Will’s story will end, saying: ‘I can just tell you that I’m very very excited for what’s to come.
‘I think they did a great job with Will’s character this season, and beautifully addressed everything they needed to. The way they closed the show is just perfect – the story started with Will, and it’ll end with Will.’
Meanwhile, earlier this year, the writers of Stranger Things dropped a huge clue about season 5.
On the official Twitter account for the Stranger Things writers, a new tweet posted on Tuesday March 21 read: ‘Season 5 is like if season 1 and 4 had a baby. And then that baby was injected with steroids.’
Stranger Things is available to stream on Netflix.
