Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock has dropped a snippet of her debut solo single DSL during a very busy week and fans are losing their minds.
The pop queen took to social media on Tuesday evening to share a clip of the track, called DSL, which included visuals of her looking furturistic.
This first-ever solo effort from Leigh-Anne (who also used the chance to drop her surname from her branding) sounds slick and grown-up, with a retro beat.
In an increasingly popular move, she wiped her Instagram grid as part of the announcement, putting all eyes – and ears – on DSL.
Leigh-Anne is seen in the moodily-lit video dressed in what appears to be a sequinned leotard, while various lighting effects play across her body, including a sparkling diamond and white grid lines.
‘#leighanneiscoming,’ she wrote in a simple caption alongside the post, which she repeated in a new Instagram bio.
DSL is expected to drop very soon, with the 31-year-old revealing in her stories that it’s already available to pre-order on streaming platforms.
‘WE ARE READYYYYYYY ❤️🔥,’ exclaimed Little Mix bandmate Jade Thirwall in the comments, supporting her all the way.
‘It sounds so good omggggg,’ commented one fan, while another declared: ‘OH MY GOD I CAN’T BREATHE.’
‘We were never readyyyyy,’ someone else admitted as everyone rushed to give their reaction.
Another cheekily referenced the other major reported news this week from Leigh-Anne, writing: ‘LEIGH-ANNE PINNOCK POSSIBLY PINNOCK-GRAY WHAT IS THIS OMG.’
The mum-of-two was said to have tied the knot with her longtime partner, footballer Andre Gray, in Jamaica over the weekend.
The couple, who have been engaged since 2020 and dating since 2016, share twins together, who were born in August 2021 and whose names and genders they have chosen to keep private.
Andre and Leigh-Anne are currently still soaking up the sunshine on the island, as the singer’s Instagram stories revealed on Monday.
She is the first from herself, Jade and Perrie Edwards in Little Mix to release solo music.
Former member Jesy Nelson, who left the group at the end of 2020, citing her mental health and the pressure of being in a band, scored a top 5 hit with her debut solo single Boyz in 2021.
However, follow-up song Bad Thing didn’t manage to reach those dizzying heights in April, when it failed to chart in the UK Top 100.
Little Mix have so far racked up five UK number one singles, including Wings and Black Magic, and a whopping 19 top 10 tracks overall.
