Sir Bruce Forsyth’s widow, Lady Wilnelia, is thinking about finding love again six years after his death.
Legendary entertainer Forsyth died of bronchial pneumonia at his Wentworth Estate home in Virginia Water, Surrey, in August 2017 at the age of 89,
Lady Wilnelia, 65, was married to the former Strictly Come Dancing co-host for 34 years.
In the years following his death, Wilnelia hadn’t thought about dating again because she had been kept busy by her friends, but now, she’s feeling it might be time to put herself out there again.
‘I’ve been thinking maybe it’s time to start dating,’ she told the Daily Mail at the Cauldwell Butterfly Ball.
‘I haven’t had the time to think about dating because I’m so lucky to have so many amazing friends.
‘I’ve been going out with some friends for dinners, but I haven’t really found an admirer.’
Lady Wilnelia married Strictly Come Dancing star Forsyth in 1983, three years after they met when Forsyth was judging alongside her at Miss World 1980.
They remained together up until his death on 18 August 2017.
The couple had one son, JJ, together, with Forsyth having five children from previous marriages to Penny Calvert and Anthea Redfern.
Forsyth – also known for hosting The Generation Game and The Price Is Right – reportedly left his wife £11.5million in his will, while his five daughters – Debbie, Julia, Laura, Charlotte, and Louisa – and one son got nothing in an effort to avoid inheritance tax.
Lady Wilnelia is believed to have received everything in her husband’s estate, including two properties in her native Puerto Rico, bar £100,000 which was left to Bruce’s nine grandchildren.
Forsyth’s ashes were buried beneath the boards of the London Palladium in a private ceremony, exactly a year after he died.
