Piers Morgan regularly finds himself embroiled in debates, and tonight’s episode of his show was no different.
On Piers Morgan: Uncensored, he hosted a panel discussion on the subject of the monarchy.
Rizz Possnett was arguing against keeping the royal family calling them ‘parasites.’ The 19-year-old is the leader of No More Royals, who will be protesting King Charles III’s Coronation.
She described a ‘juxtaposition between modern Britain and what that looks like, and this archaic, weird set of institutions that just doesn’t sit right with that.’
Piers, 58, strongly opposed her view and suggested that anti-royalists ‘have a day off’ for the coronation.
Throughout the ten-minute segment, the pair took issue with each other’s viewpoints, which culminated in a fiery exchange of words at the end.
When it came time for Piers to move onto the next segment of his show he told Rizz it had been a ‘good debate.’
She replied: ‘This hasn’t been a good debate. You haven’t let me finish a single point.’
Piers summarised that she’d done the most talking and should instead be thanking him.
Rizz was clearly frustrated with the proceedings, and Piers told her: ‘Rizz, calm down, count to 10. There’ll be another chance.’
In response, she shook her head.
Piers continued to converse with his guest telling her: ‘Go back to Oxford [the university where Rizz studies] and count yourself lucky with your privileged education.’
‘You’re insane. Shut up,’ she fired back.
‘You’re one of the most privileged women in the country. Right up there with Prince William,’ he added as his final words to her.
It’s clear that there is definitely no love lost between these pair!
The former Good Morning Britain has also recently been sharing his thoughts on Prince Harry’s coronation attendance.
He said: ‘I’m very disappointed Harry is going to be there.
‘What the hell is Prince Harry doing, having trashed the family in that horrible book he wrote?
‘The terrible series they’ve done, the interviews they’ve done, trashy trashy trashy trashy, damaging the institution of the monarchy, and then they have the brass neck – he turns up at the coronation?
‘And by the way, we know why he’s doing it,’ Piers went on, declaring that he suspected Meghan Markle had told the prince: ‘You better get over there and get on that balcony somehow because our entire commercial world depends on you still being a dominant member of the Royal Family.’
