Taylor Swift put worried fans’ minds at ease by addressing the cut she sported on her hand during the Texas leg of her Eras tour.
The 33-year-old singer uploaded an explanation for the bandage she wore around her left hand during her performances in Houston over the weekend.
After noticing the dressing and the nasty gash on the star’s limb, fans quickly expressed their concerns for her well-being on social media.
However, the Anti-Hero hitmaker cleared things up on Monday when she posted a gallery of snaps from the last three shows of her highly-anticipated Eras tour.
Alongside multiple pictures of the megastar in various costumes from the last few days, she penned a caption sharing with her supporters what really happened to her hand.
Taylor wrote on Instagram: ‘Just got to play 3 insane shows in Houston and I’m waking up smiling reminiscing about how much fun we all had.
‘Loving this tour so much because of the passion these crowds put into it all – seriously can’t wait for Atlanta.
‘PS for those asking how I cut my hand, I’m totally fine and it was my fault completely – tripped on my dress hem and fell in the dark backstage while running to a quick change – braced my fall with my palm.
‘It was all very Mercury in retrograde coded. Don’t worry about me I’m gooooood [sic].’
Fans aired their worries for the singer on TikTok and shared a flurry of comments under videos of her performance where the gash was clearly visible.
One said: ‘I thought they were joking when they said a chunk but omg it is a chunk ouch that must hurt [sic].’
Another offered: ‘omg that literally looks like a whole chunk is gone [sic].’
‘I knew it! I noticed a bandage later in the concert,’ a social media user exclaimed in the comment section of a video online.
The videos emerged following the news she had called it quits with her long-term boyfriend actor Joe Alwyn earlier this month.
It was confirmed that the pair of famous lovers amicably split from one another after six years of dating right at the beginning of the star’s global tour.
