Stacey Solomon was in tears describing the kind gesture her dad made while she enjoyed her first big family holiday away since the pandemic as they jetted off to Abu Dhabi.
It was also her and fiancé Joe Swash’s first trip with baby Belle in tow, who the couple welcomed in February.
The pair, who first met after Stacey won I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! in 2010, began dating in 2016 and also have son Rex, three, and older daughter Rose, who was born in October 2021.
Stacey also has two sons from previous relationships: Zachary, 14, and 10-year-old Leighton, who joined them on holiday too, while Joe has son Harry, 16, from a previous relationship.
Popping up on her Instagram Stories on Saturday evening, the 33-year-old announced they were all now safely home, but she was suffering after losing her voice.
The Loose Women star was comforting a crying Belle as she revealed what her ever-helpful dad Dave had done for her.
‘When my dad came away with us… Usually any pictures or videos of me when we’re out together or we go somewhere is because I’m like, “Joe, take a video of me right now” or “Take a picture of me right now”.
‘I want the boys to remember I was actually there because most the time I’m filming them or taking pictures of them and I’m not in it unless I beg for a picture,’ she explained.
‘And when my dad was there, he must film me the same way that I film them!’
Joe then chimed in from the background, hilariously adding as Stacey giggled: ‘He doesn’t film me, does he? You wouldn’t even think I was on that bloody holiday.’
The mum-of-five then admitted it had made her ‘really emotional’ after her dad sent over all the videos he had taken on holiday and she had been in them.
‘It sounds so stupid but I’m actually in the videos, just doing normal stuff,’ she continued.
‘They’re not even ‘special’ videos, they’re just normal videos of me with the kids doing normal stuff.
‘I don’t know what it makes me so emotional, I just think one day they might watch them all or need to watch, I don’t know.’
She tearfully added: ‘They’re just the best. I’ve made a montage, I’ve cried about 150 times,’ as she reflected on her luck over having ‘all those little memories’.
Stacey then shared the reel she had made of some of her dad’s footage of her and the kids to her main grid on Instagram, writing in the caption: ‘I’m crying 😭 So turns out my dad still takes videos of me the way I do of my babies 😭
‘I hardly ever get videos of me like this. It’s usually pictures I force Joe to take so they know I was actually there 😂 My camera roll mostly looks like I just popped in with a selfie or in the mirror video… ‘
She continued: ‘I can’t tell you how emotional I feel right now. One day in years to come please g-d the pickles will have these to watch & remember the special times we had 😭 I don’t care about the angles, my hair, my face, my body or the fact I’m mostly sun creaming everyone half the time 😂 I’m just so grateful to have these… forever and always Dad…’
‘What an adventure we will treasure forever,’ she concluded.
Joe and Stacey had also managed to enjoy a rare date night in Dubai while away, sitting together at a table for just the two of them while grandad supervised the kids at a table close by at the same restaurant.
