Karrueche Tran had a precious way of honouring her dad after his death.
The Bel-Air star, 34, revealed back in January that her dad had sadly died, paying tribute to him at the time with a series of Instagram pictures.
Now, the actress has decided to let go of ‘old energy’.
After cutting off her long raven locks, Karrueche released them into the ocean, along with her late dad’s ashes.
Sharing the special moment with her 13.3million fans, Karrueche debuted her new shorter hair do.
She penned in her Instagram caption: ‘life is really LIFING right now and it was time for me to let go of a lot of old energy..

‘I’ve always wanted to cut my hair short short but never had the balls to do it.. I feel like a weight has been lifted.. I feel so free and I honestly love it..’
She continued: ‘being able to release my hair in the ocean along w some of my dads ashes was magical.. a full circle moment as my dad was also a hairstylist lol 🕊️’
‘Cesar, thank you for being so gentle and patient with me.. I appreciate you so much.. Out with the old, in with the new ✨’, she concluded sharing her gratitude for her hairstylist.
The star accompanied the words with a snap of her sporting her shorter hairstyle while posing at an event.

In a second snap, she holds her father’s ashes in a container decorated with blue and gold flowers, alongside her cut-off braid in front of the turquoise ocean.
In the next photo, she holds her plait up, showing how long her hair was before the cop.
Finally, she offers a behind-the-scenes look at the moment stylist Cesar Deleon Ramirez cut her hair.
She was met with a wealth of love and support in the comments, as one person hailed: ‘Cutting on the outside while growing inside🔥❤️’

Another sweetly commented: ‘🔥SO happy for you & this next chapter ✨’
‘The glow of flourishing in something new suites you’, another praised.
Earlier this year, when sharing the news of her loss with the world, Karrueche received condolences from the likes of Kelly Rowland, Jessie J, and Lena Waithe.
She wrote on social media: ‘💔🕊️ un bacio mi amore Rest in Paradise Dad ❤️❤️’, alongside childhood photos from special moments with her loved one.
