It’s not the most conventional choice of wedding entertainment, but when Sarah Chesterfield and her new husband Matt tied the knot, they decided to play a game of rounders.
A match against each other, of course. Just because you’re married doesn’t mean you always have to be on the same team.
But the sport set the tone perfectly for a life of bliss, as Sarah whacked the ball directly into her new husband’s privates.
Seeing Matt doubled over in pain didn’t stop a competitive streak – Sarah still ran the field and complete a full rounder. Good on her.
Don’t feel too bad for the groom, though. Once Sarah had completed her task, she did go and check in on her partner.
The entire interaction was captured on camera at Carlyon Bay Hotel in Saint Austell, Cornwall, on September 25, by videographer Grant Alexander.
The bride’s sister, Hailey MacDonald – who was also the one to suggest playing rounders – then shared the clip to TikTok.
It’s almost like she planned her brother-in-law’s humiliation all along…
‘My sister was adamant that we were all going to play rounders, so that’s what we did,’ said Sarah. ‘The video shows the first throw from the groom.’
