A young mum has been left horrified after accidentally sending her future in-laws a picture of her son in which she could clearly be seen naked.
When she snapped the pic, she was sitting in the bath while her son played next to her in a travel cot.
The mum-of-one, 27, decided to send a picture of her child to the family WhatsApp chat, which included her future husband, his two brothers and his parents.
She shared the pic along with a message that read: ‘I can’t even have a bath in peace.’
Unfortunately, she didn’t realise that her naked body was captured in the picture, thanks to reflections in the glass shower screen and the metal drain cover, until it was too late.
The mortified mum, who did not want to be named, deleted the picture from the chat but thinks her father-in-law still saw it.
The woman, from Bexhill, East Sussex, said: ‘I’m sure there are lots of other new mums out there that would have a laugh from this.
‘I thought it was just an innocent photo.’
She shared a censored version of the picture on Facebook and the post went viral, getting over 1,500 likes and nearly 800 comments.
In the Facebook post, she wrote: ‘Only sharing this as me and my sister cannot stop laughing.
‘Earlier today I sent this photo to my partners family group chat – mother, father and brother-in-laws – saying can’t even have a bath in peace
‘I swear I was oblivious to the reflection and the circle mirror thing.’
She said: ‘I had my baby a few days before the first lockdown was announced.
‘I live with my partner and his parents as we are currently in the process of buying our first home
‘We also have a family group chat where we share lots of photos, especially of our son.
‘So I sent a photo innocently of our son next to me whilst I was trying to have a bath.
‘Oh the joys of motherhood.’
She added: ‘But I didn’t realise there was a reflection in the shower glass and the little bath silver thing.
‘A few minutes passed and I looked back at the photo and noticed the reflection in the glass.
‘I swiftly deleted the photo from the chat, however his dad had already viewed it, but I’ve no idea if he had seen anything.
‘I quickly called my partner and explained what happened and asked him to check the photo had definitely been removed.
‘Luckily he couldn’t see it.
‘Me and my sister found it hilarious. I still don’t know if he saw anything and even if he did, I don’t know if he would say anything.
‘Well I’m going back on Saturday, I’m sure their facial expressions will give away whether they saw me.’
