If you’ve ever had a moment where you’ve been torn between a cake or a biscuit, your prayers are about to be answered.
M&S has released a new hybrid bakery item that combines a bit of of both – the Biscake.
Available in three delicious flavours, the Biscakes blend a crunchy biscuit base and fluffy, light cupcake top.
It’s almost like a cheesecake where the cheese is cake. We’re in.
M&S is famed for its bakery hybrids, recently launching the Yumnut, a yum yum and doughnut cross, which shot up the best-sellers list after it hit stores.
Natalie Tate, M&S Product Developer for cakes said: ‘It’s the age-old question. Cake or biccy with your cup of tea?
‘This new and exclusive fusion to M&S, the Biscake, takes the stress out of having to decide as you can now enjoy both together.
‘The three delicious flavours are the ultimate treat – with the perfect balance of crumbly biscuit base and fluffy, sweet cupcake top.
‘I absolutely love the Choc Chip off the Old Block which is topped with our very own delicious treat bag Milk Chocolate Cookie Dough Bites.’
There are three flavours available:
Lemon meringue-a-tang Biscake
A crunchy biscuit base with zesty lemon sponge, lemon curd and lemon buttercream. Hand finished with a meringue.
Choc chip off the old block Biscake
A crumbly chocolate chip cookie base meets chocolate sponge, topped with chocolate buttercream and treat bag Milk Chocolate Cookie Dough Bites.
Cherry cake-well Biscake
The classic Bakewell Tart reimagined in Biscake form – a crunchy biscuit base with almond sponge, raspberry jam and buttercream. Hand finished with a glace cherry.
All cost £2.50 for a pack of two, and are available in stores now.
