If you have a strong dislike for Brussels sprouts, these adorable pooches might change your mind.

Three dogs decided to take part in a photoshoot with the divisive Christmas vegetable.

Elsa the Golden Retriever, Dolly the Cocker Spaniel and Jeanie the Collie Poodle – all of whom belong to Liz Gregg – decided to have some festive fun with a pack of Brussels sprouts.

Owner Liz decided to snap her dogs trying to catch the sprouts in their mouth, much like how they’d usually catch a tennis ball.

And it’s safe to say the photos are the Christmassy pick-me-up that we all need right now.

Liz, of Herne Bay, Kent, said: ‘Christmas is such a wonderful time of the year and I wanted to create something special for my dogs.’

Photos show the three dogs getting in the Christmas spirit as they pull hilarious faces while trying to catch the green veggies.

Liz added: ‘Brussels sprouts may not be everyone’s favourite part of the Christmas meal, yet the dogs had so much fun on the photoshoot.

‘All three dogs love posing for pictures. They’re best friends and this time of year is all about friendship.’

It’s estimated that Brits consume 1,008 sprouts over the course of a lifetime – but just a handful were used in Liz’s hilarious photoshoot.

And lets not forget about some other canines spreading Christmas cheer this year.

Three dogs – Jack Russell Diesel and Border Terriers Scruff and Benji – posed perfectly as three wise men for a nativity scene.

If you’ve been thinking about getting a four-legged friend of your own recently, then there are a plethora of dogs looking for a new home for Christmas.
