Wrapping endless Christmas presents isn’t ideal for your posture.

While it’s all fun and games unwrapping all the gifts, when you’re putting them all together and sitting on the floor to do it – you can end up with back pain.

So some mums have come up with a genius way to ensure you can get all your Christmas presents sorted without compromising your back.

Nicola Lewis, the woman behind social media pages The Girl Can Organise, showed that you can use an ironing board and adjust the height to use it as a table.

The mum shared the hack on Instagram and Facebook, saying she first saw it on an episode of Gogglebox.

And the best part of using an ironing board? You can sit in front of the telly and do it, which might not be possible if you normally do it on the dining table.

You can even enjoy a drink while doing the task.

Nicola said on her socials that the Gogglebox trick was a life-saver as she doesn’t have a large enough dining table to work from.

And with back and hip pains, the ironing board is perfect for her as she can adjust the height and work from her sofia while watching Christmas films.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘I saw this hack on Gogglebox last week and it’s totally blown me away! Ellie Warner showed us her fab wrapping skills using an ironing board whilst sitting on the sofa! Such a genius idea!! No stretching or getting back ache whilst wrapping presents anymore.

‘The only stretching i need to worry about is reaching for the margarita glass.’

She then shared the idea on Facebook saying: ‘Thought I’d share my way of avoiding sitting on the floor with back ache, sore legs and pins and needles whilst wrapping presents.’

Other mums on the page said the tip was a ‘god-send’ though some lamented that it came too late.

There’s always next year.
