Ria-Louise Bullen has always loved the colour pink.

So when she bought her first home with partner Callum Oldfield, 22, she knew exactly what she wanted to do, interiors-wise.

And yes, she absolutely went for it, making every inch of the home a shade of pink.

Ria-Louise, from Crawley in West Sussex, said: ‘Pink is just my absolute favourite colour in the world.

‘I find it really calming and relaxing, as well as just looking amazing.

‘When we first moved into the flat, I was following a few home accounts on Instagram which gave me some inspiration for decorating.

‘I wanted to incorporate those ideas but make them pink.

‘I started off by just getting a few pink bits, but it just kept escalating until everything was pink.’

While Callum is not as much of a diehard pink fan as Ria-Louise, the good news is he’s very laidback and happy for his girlfriend to decorate the flat however she likes.

‘He knows that interiors are a hobby that I enjoy, so he just let me get on with it,’ Ria-Louise said.

‘When we were looking for our sofa, and I started to mention about getting a pink one.

‘I think he started to get nervous about that and thought I was maybe starting to take it a bit too far, but not it is all done he doesn’t mind it.

‘It has been easy to convince him to have a pink flat, but I think it because he knows how much I love pink. He is happy with how it has turned out too though.’

The transformation has cost the couple £3,000. on top of the price of the new-build flat.

The sofa was the priciest part at £751, but the couple kept costs down by shopping in the sales.

Ria-Louise said: ‘When we first moved in it was pretty much like a white cardboard box, it was like a blank canvas to do whatever we wanted.

‘I have really enjoyed having a free reign and making the flat how I like it.

‘During the first lockdown we had a lot of time on our hands, so we managed to do some DIY. We focused on our feature walls in the house.

‘Our living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom are all totally pink.

‘Pink curtains, pink cushions, pink sofa, pink accessories, pink feature walls. Pink everything. It is amazing and I am so happy with how it has turned out.’
