World Kindness Day, celebrated today on Friday, November 13, is observed in countries around the world as an annual reminder to be kind and that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
As well as the UK, nations including Canada, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore and more will all mark World Kindness Day in some way today.
World Kindness Day is the brainchild of the World Kindness Movement – a coalition of nations’ kindness NGOs. First observed in 1998 World Kindness Day has grown as a movement over two decades, with the World Kindness Movement continuing in their work to make kindness the norm worldwide.
Kindness is also the theme for the new John Lewis Christmas advert, which was released today.
