Woman transforms people’s dirty homes for free including ex-boyfriend’s and Tinder date’s place

A TikTok star is sprucing up people’s dirty homes for free – and she even extends her generosity to her ex-boyfriend.

Auri Kananen, 27, from Tampere, Finland, has become a social media sensation thanks to her cleaning clips, which show her scrubbing, mopping, and wiping down grimy homes.

From scrubbing her ex-boyfriend’s house while he enjoyed a holiday with his new girlfriend, to working her magic on the home of her Tinder date, no job is off-limits for the self-declared ‘best cleaner in the world’.

The service manager, who has 1.8 million followers on TikTok, has always loved cleaning and particularly enjoys homes that haven’t been wiped down in years.

Auri explained: ‘I do it for free for those who need it the most. I like to do voluntary work of many kinds and cleaning is one of them.

‘I’m happy that I can use my talent to help other people.

‘I don’t think anything is too disgusting. Once, someone had spread their faeces all over the toilet.

‘But I think it’s sad that someone would do something like that.’

Auri got her first cleaning job at 14 and views cleaning homes as a hobby.

She said: ‘I have always cleaned for free for my relatives and friends.

‘Every Christmas I gave them a “gift card” for home cleaning. They know I’m crazy and they still love me.’

One clip shows Auri wearing her signature pink gloves, in a kitchen with dirt so thickly encrusted she has to remove the grime with a scraper.

Another video shows Auri meticulously rearranging spice cupboards and cutlery drawers, while toilet rolls are carefully made into bows and towels placed on the bed after being transformed into swans.

Auri added: ‘The best satisfaction doesn’t come after. It comes while doing it.

‘I love hard stains and these houses often haven’t been deep-cleaned properly. I can’t even describe the feeling when I’m cleaning it.

‘I get it mostly before and during the cleaning, but not so much after it. Because when it’s done, I don’t want to be there anymore; it becomes a boring place for me.

‘And it is just lovely to see the person’s face after I have cleaned their house.

‘In my own house, it is really boring to clean because there are no hard stains at all.

‘I think many people get satisfaction after they have cleaned.’

Auri is inundated with pleas from people from across the globe who long for her to work her magic on their homes.

She added: ‘People ask if I could come and clean their houses in India, Philippines, USA, and so on.

‘At the moment, I can’t, but I hope that someday I can. It doesn’t matter where you come from. It’s not about your skin colour or who you are: almost everybody likes clean things.

‘My dream is that I could clean all around the world for these people who need it the most. That would be so cool.’

The 27-year-old has amassed quite a following on TikTok where some of her videos have garnered a whopping 46.9 million views.
