One of the few nice things about the pandemic and working from home is that we don’t need to get dressed every single day (let’s face it, we all wear PJs on the bottom for Zoom calls).

But some people, like Mila Povoroznyuk, loved getting dressed up – but her sartorial choices are a little different.

Mila, from Ukraine, wears nothing but 19th-century attire every day.

While that might sound peculiar, she has managed to build quite the following with her fashion choices.

Mila is a big fan of the Victorian era but the 19th-century Edwardian epoch is her favourite.

Over on her socials, Mila can often be seen sporting vintage dresses, corsets, extravagant blouses, top hats and intricate accessories, and footwear that is reminiscent of the era.

And her fans love it, with 69,000 people following her on Instagram alone.

Mila has also cultivated quite the following on TikTok where clips of her latest outfits garner millions of views.

Mila’s interest in earlier fashion started 12 years ago when she got involved in the movement of historical reconstruction.

She then began sewing her own outfits, experimenting with the staples of different eras.

And for the past two years, she has stuck to the 19th-century, always wearing something that would be commonplace at the time.

‘The first piece of clothing in the style of the 19th century which I started wearing in my everyday life was a blue autumn coat,’ Mila told BoredPanda.

‘It was made eight years ago. I naturally started selecting harmonious things that would go with it. My wardrobe was gradually filling with vintage items.’

For the most part, Mila makes her own clothes. But other times, she visits flea markets or finds like-minded people online who can offer her older relics.

We think she looks great.
