Spending a lot more time at home can go one of two ways – you use the extra time as an excuse for a clear out, or you just embrace the clutter and get used to tripping over your new office chair.
And then there are those who just live in all-out mess, all year round.
After a nationwide search, we bringing you the UK’s messiest bedrooms of 2020.
We shared the winners last year but now there are 16 new rooms to have a snoop around.
Bed SOS relaunched the competition in September and now Sara, from Co Down, Northern Ireland, has been judged to have the worst bedroom.
Over 300 people sent in their pictures to be in with a chance to win a brand new bed.
But Sara’s pile of junk, which sits higher than her bed, came out on top.
Other strong contenders included parents sending in pictures of their untidy teenager’s rooms, and landlords shaming former tenants.
Let’s take a look at the top 16:
16. Zoe, from Plymouth, posted her daughter and daughter’s boyfriend’s room
15. John, from Liverpool, shared his young daughter’s room
14. Grace, from Bradford, said her room was actually ‘cleaner than usual’ in this picture
13. Anneka, from Shropshire, released she’s in need of a declutter
12. Angela, from Staffordshire, was another parent sharing her kids’ bedroom
11. Vishal, from Northampton, entered this image of a former tenant’s room which took 52 black bin bags to clean
10. Another pink child’s room from Toni, in Cheltenham
9. Olivia, from Manchester, is embracing the floor-robe as she’s waiting for her house to be refurbished
8. Sel, from Norfolk, said her kids created this mess in five minutes
7. Sarah, from Studley, entered her teenage son’s messy room with pictures from every angle
6. Nicole, from Manchester, likes to cover every surface
5. Mollie McAllister. from Northamptonshire, found this mess in a house she was renting out
4. Luke, from Havering, likes to keep everything within reach of his bed
3. The ‘mountain of junk’ in Farnham-based Claire’s son’s room
2. Audrey, from Derbyshire, decide to snap a picture on a what she calls a ‘clean day’
1. Sara, from Country Down, sleeps alongside this mess, complete with food wrappers and even a dead plant
Talking about the competition, Danny Richmond, Managing Director of Bed SOS, said: ‘Aside from how cluttered some of the entries are, we were most shocked by just how many people sent in pictures of their messy bedrooms!
‘Looks like there’s a lot more people who could do with giving their room some TLC than you’d expect.
‘Congratulations to our winner, Sara, with the messiest bedroom. Don’t worry though, with so many entries, clearly you’re in good company.
‘We hope you enjoy your new bed… but it might be worth having a declutter before it arrives.’
