If, like us, you are sobbing at the cancellation of Winter Wonderland this year, buck up – because we’ve got good news.
There’s a mini winter paradise returning to Paddington on 12 November, with lots of seasonal activities to get you in the jolly spirit.
Dubbed Pergola Paddington’s Miracle on Kingdom Street, the hideaway will feature a secret forest with snow-covered Christmas trees as well as the Alpine Winter Hall – where you can cosy up in front of log fires.
The event is hosted over two floors; with the lower level home to the Bavarian-style festive hall and eight cosy winter lodges (perfect for social distancing) where you can munch on cheese fondue and winter cocktails, while warming up under blankets.
With outdoor partying the big hit in 2020, because of the restrictions set in tier two and three, the organisers have invested in a heating system to keep the temperature up throughout the evening.
And of course, there’ll be plenty of mulled wine, hot toddies, spiced cider and hot chocolate.
As for the food, expect four pop-up restaurants, with delights such as bratwurst, raclette, roasted chestnuts, mine pies and smores on the menu, alongside Christmas burgers and more.
There’s plenty of entertainment on offer too, such as gospel choir singalongs, movie screenings, visits from Santa and – brace yourself – a Christmas party for dogs.
Fancy coming along? The event is open daily from noon until 10pm until February 2021, but you are recommended to book in advance.
