If you’ve got a millions to spend on a property, you might as well go for something a bit unusual.
By ‘something a bit unusual’, we of course mean this beautifully preserved tower property, which once belonged to a famous Victoria architect, Joseph John Scoles.
The tower, called Crofton Lodge, is up for sale for £1.7million through Unique Property Company.
It’s a three-bedroom house that extends across 1,600sq ft over five floors – including a roof terrace.
From the outside, it looks pretty glorious, with a turret-esque structure.
And inside, many of the old-school features have been preserved, including fireplaces, crested murals, and doors and windows from Scoles’ days.
The gothic tower home, which sits on Caithness Road, was originally designed and constructed by Joseph John Scoles, who was a prominent architect and one of the earliest members of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
The property was his home until 1863.
When you enter on the ground floor of the property, you’ll find the kitchen and dining area.
Then downstairs, on the lower ground floor, are two bedrooms – one with access to a rear terrace – and a bathroom.
On the first floor is a reception room, then on the second there’s the master bedroom, with its own dressing room and bathroom.
The real highlight is the roof garden, which has gorgeous views across London and is great for parties (once those are allowed again).
Location-wise, the property’s got a pretty sweet deal, too, as it’s close to a number of tube stations, including Kensington Olympia, Barons Court, and Shepherds Bush.
Heathrow is within easy reach as well.
If you have £1.7million handy and fancy putting in an offer, you can arrange a viewing through Unique Property Company’s website.
