Lego is lots of fun but it can be tricky to keep all the bits together.
Somehow they all end up muddled and even if you can find the pieces, do you know where all the instructions are?
Keeping them in the box is an option, but that takes up lots of space.
One mum has come up with a genius solution to keep everything in one place without having stacks of cardboard.
She uses ziplock bags, with a keyring on the zip showing the label for each one so they’re all easy to find.
The Australian woman said that images of the sets were available on the Lego website so she was able to make the tags herself.
She also downloaded the instruction booklets from the website and laminated each page, using the rings from a binder to keep them together.
It means the pages are less likely to get damaged or lost.
Sharing the idea in the Organising Ideas Australia Facebook group, she wrote: ‘I have finally made these bags for my kids lego!
‘Every bag has a picture tag and the instructions printed, laminated and made like a book. It took a few late nights but I secretly loved doing it haha.
‘My son loves building them, pulling them apart and building them again another time but always struggled finding the little pieces so I’m hoping this will help.
‘I will also have separate tubs for all the other loose lego that isn’t part of a set. Now we just have to finish putting all the lego in them.’
Although the idea might seem time consuming, other parents said it would be worth putting the effort in.
One commented: ‘I will save these pics for inspiration (and motivation) so one day I can do this ha .My 6yo is Lego obsessed so this is great. I’m sick of the boxes taking up valuable space in his wardrobe.’
Another added: ‘I so need this my sons always looking through his cos he mixes it up this is amazing.’
