A clever mum is being praised online for a genius solution to hiding sweets and treats from children.
To ensure that her kids don’t pilfer the cupboards for snacks, the unnamed Australian parent now keeps the goodies that she buys for herself in her bedroom.
She picked up door storage from Kmart, a supermarket chain Down Under, and simply stashed her treats by hanging them on the back door of her door.
So when the children open the door to her room, the snacks are cleverly hidden away.
It’s the easiest hack ever – but the best ones often are.
Sharing her idea on Facebook, in a group called Kmart Home Decor & Hacks Australia, the mum wrote: ‘Kmart over the door storage, kids opened my bedroom door and can’t see my stash.
‘Winning.’
People are loving the idea, calling the mum a ‘genius’ and the post has racked up over 3,000 likes so far.
‘Lmfaaooo genius,’ commented one person.
Someone else wrote: ‘Mum hack at its finest.’
Another mum commented: ‘And here I was buying one for my bathroom.’
Technically, you could get one of these in several rooms, but that might be a bit extra.
‘The perfect hiding spot,’ added someone else.
Elsewhere, a different mum has shared how to open slippery plastic bags in the fruit and veg aisle without having to lick your fingers – which is especially useful in the current climate.
Kristy, a mum-of-two, also from Australia, ties a hand sanitiser wipe to her trolley handle and simply uses a wipe to wet her fingers before reaching for a bag while out shopping.
Like we said, the most brilliant hacks are often the easiest.
