Cheese boards are a dinner party staple, but what about when you want to indulge in some fromage and vino when you’re having some alone time?
Well, Etsy is selling an individual wine holder/cheese board for all your solo snacking needs. Because who says you have to be at a dinner party to enjoy a good food platter?
Available at Etsy shop KingsWoodStore, the genius creation is a wooden platter that’s designed to hold a wine glass and snacks of your choosing. The wood is carved with a special spot to place a stemmed wine glass, so it can be used when the board is on the table or being held. It is also super lightweight so it’s easy to carry and hold.
Coming in at 10 inches long and five inches wide, it’s the perfect size for a whole selection of goodies, from cheeses and charcuterie to fruit or chocolatey treats. The product description describes the board as being a good wedding gift but, due to its solo nature, we personally think it’s much better as a gift for an individual.
The Etsy page reads: ‘True oenophiles will appreciate this wine coaster. It combines a wine glass holder and an appetiser plate. It is easy to hold in one hand, and it barely weights anything. This coaster is great for buffets – you will always have one free hand.’
It’s worth pointing out that it shouldn’t be heated in the microwave, or put in the fridge or dishwasher – otherwise the wood could get damaged and you might end up with a broken board.
The inventive product, which is priced at £36.89, can be shipped pretty much anywhere in the world – including the UK.
