Pumpkin Spice Latte lovers across the pond have already received a seasonal treat courtesy of Starbucks, who have bought the famous autumn beverage back already in the US.
Marking its earliest release date ever, Starbucks announced last week that the Pumpkin Spice Latte would be back on menus in the United States on August 25.
But what does that mean for those of us in the UK who are just waiting to wrap our hands around a warm mug of coffee with a blend of pumpkin and traditional autumnal spice flavours?
When will the Starbucks pumpkin spice latte be available?
Starbucks pumpkin spice latte – or PSL as it is known by fans – is the coffee chain’s most popular seasonal beverage, with over 200 million cups sold across the world since it first launched in 2003.
The drink, traditionally served with whipped cream and Pumpkin Spice topping, is only available for a short time every year, serving to further increase its desirability with customers.
While the drink has already landed on Satrbucks’ menus in the US, a launch date for the PSL in the UK this year has yet to be announced.
Originally the PSL went on sale closer to Christmas, in the month of October when there were pumpkins aplenty around in the run-up to Halloween.
However, in 2019 the PSL marked the arrival of autumn by appearing in Starbucks stores on September 5.
We’re only a couple of days away from that same date now and with Americans already sipping on PSLs all over the States, we can only hope that Starbucks will follow suit in releasing the Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg and Clove flavoured coffee once again in the UK soon.
