Want to give your home a new look but don’t have the budget for an interior makeover right now?
No bother, because a mum has just revealed a genius hack of how she changed the design of her bedroom walls with nothing but a pair of scissors and a hexagon-shaped box lid.
To avoid buying expensive materials, the thrifty woman cut down her costs by using wallpaper samples from a variety of stores – all of which were completely free.
She then proceeded to cut out bits of the wallpaper with the box lid, with everything from floral patterns like roses to birds, feathers and more – and then carefully applied these to the wall.
The result? A gorgeous and unique bedroom.
The mum shared her beautiful room transformation on Facebook, in a group called Extreme Budget DIY & Life Hacks – and people love it.
‘Feature wall in my bedroom,’ she captioned her post.
‘Collected sample wallpapers from DIY shops, traced around a hexagon shape, cut and pasted to the wall (stuck them on with blue tac first to
position right).
She used a box lid as a template to makes the shapes
‘Wall was painted white silk, hexagons pasted straight onto the wall.’
Her post has so far garnered over 500 likes, with glowing reviews.
‘Wow that feature wall is incredible!,’ wrote one woman.
‘So straight and precise can tell you put a lot of work into that. Bet you’re proud of that all looks excellent.’
Someone else said: ‘Omg you are amazing!!! Love these ideals, absolutely fantastic.’
‘Can you please come and do my house,’ commented another person, to which we say: ditto.
