Love scones and have an air-fryer?

How about making some delicious goods in just 10 minutes?

An Australian home baker has shared details for a quick and easy recipe to make fluffy scones.

Jezzica, from Melbourne, revealed the simple steps to creating ‘the best scones ever’ on a popular cooking group on Facebook.

The recipe requires just three ingredients and an air fryer of any brand, though hers was from Kmart.

Jezzica used just flour, butter and milk – items that can be found in most homes on a regular basis.

After-preheating the air fryer and dropping in the dough, you just need to wait 10 minutes.

And voilà – you have moist scones ready to go.

To make the fresh scones, Jezzica starts by mixing two and a half cups of flour with 60g of cold butter, cut into cubes.

Once the mixture starts to ‘look like breadcrumbs’, create a well with it and add three and a half cups of milk into the pockets.

Add a teaspoon of milk if more is needed, then mix with a non-bladed knife until it comes together.

Knead until you’ve created a smooth dough. The last step is separating the dough into 2cm thick pieces.

Once the air fryer has been preheated for five minutes, cook on 200°C for ten minutes.

Jezzica’s social media post on Share Kmart Fryer Recipes Australia has received praise from more than 400 people, all of whom are impressed with the recipe and want to try it out for themselves.

One woman wrote: ‘I’m going to try these tomorrow.’

Someone else said: ‘You can’t beat a scone for an easy, yummy snack.’

The Kmart air fryer which is $69 (£51) isn’t available in the UK, as we don’t have these stores, but there are other alternatives.

You can pick up an Express Health Fryer from Currys for £38.97 or if you want a fancier number, John Lewis has a version called Ninja, available for £129.99.

Amazon also has a nice variety to choose from, ranging from £30 to £60 and more.

If you do purchase one, don’t forget to share your brilliant recipes.
