As the Eat Out to Help Out scheme enters its final week, what better time to treat yourself to an indulgent McDonald’s breakfast and save a bit of money.

The scheme – which ends after August 31 – gives customers a 50% discount up to £10 per diner on food or non-alcoholic drinks when eating in at a participating restaurant between Mondays and Wednesdays.

So if you’re up early for work or just catching some morning air and fancy popping in to your local Maccies, when do they stop serving breakfast items?

When does McDonald’s stop serving breakfast?

McDonald’s restaurants across the UK serve items from their breakfast menu until 11am.

The cut-off time for breakfast items used to be 10:30am, but they changed this back in November 2019.

McDonald’s starts its normal menu from 11am each day.

The 24-hour restaurants stop serving the normal menu at 5am when they switch to breakfast.

What’s on McDonald’s reduced breakfast menu?

While still dealing with supply delays and changes because of coronavirus, McDonald’s is offering a limited breakfast menu for now.

The items you can order are:

  • Bacon roll
  • Hash brown
  • Double Sausage & Egg McMuffin
  • Sausage & Egg McMuffin
  • Bacon & Egg McMuffin
  • Double Bacon & Egg McMuffin
  • Egg & Cheese McMuffin
  • Cheesy Bacon Flatbread
  • Pancakes & Syrup
  • Pancakes & Sausage with Syrup

However, stocks can vary from store to store.

Is McDonald’s cash only?

For now, it is understood that, where possible, customers are urged to pay via contactless card to limit how contact and help contain the spread of coronavirus.

It is the safest bet to keep a contactless card on you if you are passing through a McDonald’s and planning on paying with cash, just in case some stores aren’t accepting cash.
